In todays Smartsource there is a .50/1 yakisoba noodles they are only .48 @ walmart. they are located by the ramen noodles. I have not tried them but I figured why not if they are FREE

In todays P&G there is a 1/1 Gain dish soap again they are priced at .97 @ walmart.

The idahoan potatoes have an Internet printable for 1/1 thru facebook so log into your account and in the search type in idahoan and it will bring you to their page then click on coupon and follow instructions. they are priced at .88 @ walmart.

Albertsons

So I went to albertsons yesterday and i got 15 cans of Libby's corn for .90 cents. they are on sale for .39 and there is a $1/3 in the 8/29 red plum and 8/29 parade magazine making each can only .06 there werent any doublers today so i wont be making any more trips and nothing at walgreens is catching my eye but there are a lot of good deals there right now just none that i need!

Walmart w/ doublers

i was able to get all of this for 55 cents! i used albertsons doublers with my mauf. coupons @ walmart. in todays SS insert there was $1/1 gain fab softener or sheet. the sheets were $1.87 so i doubled my coupon and got them free with a little overage!

I got all of this for $9.25 plus got back $3 catalina. The Doritos were B1G1 free and the jerky was on sale for $2. but on the jerky there was a $2 off coupon when you buy doritos and $1 off doritos coupon attached so the jerky was FREE and the doritos were $1 per bag. i had 2 coupons for FREE sobe's the pizza rolls, vegis and hamburger helper was on sale if you buy 10 you get $5 off instantly then i used coupons from coupons.com and smartsource.com! used 6 doublers so i had to do 2 transactions. Walmart is next on my list for the day!

Update

I was able to get all these Post-Its and First Aid Kits FREE from Walmart. The First Aid Kits were in the travel section for .97 cents and there is a $3/3 coupon in a SS insert. The Post its were $1 and there is a printable 1/1 coupon online!

This cheese i got for $2.40 I got 15 bags and 5 bricks! The sale was at Albertsons they are 2 for $4 and there is a $5 catalina when you buy 5 there is also a $5/5 internet printable so if you just keep rolling the catalina and use a few coupons your total will be .60 cents each transaction. Also @ Albertsons they are doing double rewards so i was able to earn 20 cents off per gallon of gas!

Walmart

So today i made it to Walmart to use some double coupos from albertsons to see what i could get cheap! I also had a $10 Register reward that i used from walgreens i got everything in the pic for $4.18!!! sorry the pic is a little blurry. i used 14 double coupons.

Birthday clubs

Many stores and resturants have Birthday clubs you can sign up to recieve free stuff on your Bday via email or snail mail! This yr i recieved $10 to spend @ World Market ( I got a super cute clock FREE!) Free burger at red robin, Free burger at Fudruckers, Free Blizzard @ Dairy Queen and a FREE sm pretzel bites @ Pretzel Time. There are tons of places you can sign up to recieve FREE stuff and usually they will be a coupon you print out and they last about 7 days! You will also recieve discount coupons to some of these places

Product promotions

On some items you will find promotions for upcoming movies or different things going on. For example for toy story 3 many product retailers had promtoions for free items. On Sara Lee bread you could send in barcodes and recieve free items and you didnt even have to pay shipping! I got a Free Toy Story lunch box and i got a free Toy Story plate, which make great items for Bday gifts for my 3 yr old cousin who loves toy story! Also inside poptarts there are codes which you can redeem for free stuff. I entered 5 codes and got a FREE movie ticket to edwards up to $12.00 value! you can visit http://www.poptartsflavorcard.com/ for details. Another thing to watch for is on cereal, Kelloggs has a promo for TS3 enter codes inside box and get free stuff enter 6 and get a free movie ticket i entered 3 and got $5 for concessions. So its gonna be a cheap date night FREE movie ticket and FREE $5 @ the concessions. Now not all things work smoothly some may seem free but you will haev to pay shipping so watch for that but everything i have tried has been smooth!!

Here is what I got @ Walgreens today! My Total was $3.49 and I saved over $40.

I did 3 Transactions, also I went in with $6 in RR.

1st Trans. (5) Suave bodywashes on sale for $2 and if you spend $10 in Suave products you get a $3 RR. also i needed 3 filler items so i got 2 highlighter and 1 ruler each .9 cents. used (5) 50/1 suave body wash from last weeks Red Plum insert and used my $6 in RR. Got back $3 in RR.

2nd Trans Colgate toothpaste on sale for 3.49 and triggers a 3.49 RR so FREE!! used a 1/1 colgate coupon from 2 weeks ago. also bought 2 sheet protector 10packs on sale for .29ea and used $3 RR from suave purchase.

3rd Trans 1 10 pk sheet protectors .29ea (5) G2 pen packs .19 on sale for 1.19 and in Walgreens June coupon booklet- found next to weekly ads- There is a 1/1 G2 Pens. highlighter 5 pack on sale for .29 and folder on sale for .09 . good prices to stock up on school supplies

Organizing coupons

I used this holder when i first started and was clipping my coupons.

Now I use a big binder i get 5 sunday papers so i need lots of room. I put all the same pages together and staple the top to keep them together then when i need to clip more than one i can cut them all at once. I date the first page and keep them in numerical order. I also keep all my SS and RP seperate, this makes it easy to find any coupon

The binder I found at office depot is great it has zippers to keep pens, calculator and SCISSORS!

It Has a file that is seperate that I keep all the weekly ads in.

Free Samples

I always sign up for free samples because most of the time they will come with a coupon as well some of them tend to be high value. theres so much you can get free in the mail, just this week i got a free shirt i get magazines daily and deoderant, body wash, i even got free paint this week! i love checking the mail because my box is always full of freebies!

K Mart Doubling

So all this week Kmart is doubling Manufacturers coupons. Heres how it works:
1. You must have a Kmart rewards card if you dont have one you can get one in stores.
2. they will double and Health and beauty Coupon uo to $2.00 making it $4.00 off an item
3. you can double 5 per day

I got what is pictured above for 14.38
The oral B toothbrushes are on sale for 3.50 in This weeks P&G insert there was a $2/1 Oral B Pulsar or crossaction TB double that and they are FREE
Gilette Body wash and Deoderant are $4.79 use the $2/1 in the P&G making them .79

Go get your sunday papers! there are 3 Coupon Inserts in them today a good time to start your stock pile dont throw any away even if you think you wond use them. you never know you may be able to get it free one day and want to try it! One of the best deals today is @ Walgreens. The Gillette Fusion Razor is 9.89 and there is a $4 off coupon in the P&G insert for today, then once you pay a $5 Register Reward comes out to spend on your next purchase use that to buy other products that produce RR and you will be making money!

Free Toothbrushes

Newspaper Subscription

I get 5 Sunday papers and the daily paper for $12/mo. I get 5 so that when there are great deals i can get more than one of the item and when there are doublers from albertsons i get a lot! So is it worth yet??? YES TOTALLY it costs me $12/mo + a little extra gas for special trips to the store but i save hundreds every month. I just got back from walmart doing my regular grocery shopping and save 16.50 so more than my papers and gas! Its amazing how often you can get things really cheap or free! You just have to use the right coupons w/ sales!

Getting Started

The main stores I coupon are: Albertsons,Walgreens,Target, and Walmart.
When you are starting out it can all seem overwhelming and not worth the time. Trust me its worth it when you can save up to 90% on your grocery bill. I love that i can get the name brand items for less than the store brand. I usually take 30 minutes before leaving the house to cut out coupons I know I will want to use or consider using. Each Sunday I get the paper which has Ads for all the local stores and also coupon inserts. I like to buy multiple papers to maximize my savings. It is a good idea to get a subscription if you are planning on couponing. The Press Tribune and Idaho Statesman have great deals for multiple papers.

Understanding the Lingo

One thing that was confsusing for me when I started couponing was all the different lingo for things.

Manufacturer Coupon: These can be used anywhere that accepts coupons
Store Coupon: These are specific to a certain store and can only be used there.
Doubler: These double manufacturers coupons

Dates, Inserts and values:

A lot of times you will see this...
5/13 ss 1/1 Heinz ketchup this translates to...
The May 13th Smart Source Insert. Coupon value is $1 off 1 Heinz ketchup


Misc:

RR= register reward
Cat= catalina
IP= Internet printable
SC=store coupon
MF=Manufacturer

Catalina: These print at the register once your transaction is complete they are usually a value such as $2 off you next purchase at that specific store. Certain items will trigger these. (Seen at Albertsons and Fred Meyer.

Register Reward: Same as a Catalina ( Seen at Walgreens)

How it works @ different stores

Albertsons:
*Will double a manufacturers coupon up to a dollar in value for ex: $1/1 + Doubler= $2/1
* Can use Albertsons store coupons with manufacturers coupons
* provides catalinas on certain products

Target:
* Can combine Target store coupons with Manufacturers coupons
* Will match Competetors prices of exact item with ad of other store
* Can use coupons with price matches

Walgreens:
*Can combine Walgreens store coupons with manufacturers coupons
*Provides Register Rewards
* If paying for one item with coupon and a register reward you will need a filler item (something really cheap)

Walmart:
*Takes competetors coupons and manufacturers coupons
*Matches prices of competetors with ad.

Maximizing your savings

A lot of people say when I coupon I only save a few dollars so its not really worth the time. Well if you want to really save the 80-90% on groceries you have to do these things:
* Wait for sales
* Wait for catalinas or register rewards
* Dont always buy the largest of the item unless your coupon has specific size limits then buy the smallest one. why buy 1 large shampoo for $3 when you can get 3 small ones FREE!
* Combine BoGo coupons with other coupons for Ex: you can use $1/1 Herbal Essence shampoo with a BoGo it will look like this:
(2)Shampoo @ $3= $6
Use a BoGo will deduct $3
Use a $1/1 will deduct $1
Total= $2 for 2 shampoos!
*Combine coupons w/ BoGo Sales @ store will look like this
Q tips on sale for $3 BoGo Free
Use 2 $1/1 (you can use 2 because there are 2 items there)
Total 2 Q tips for $1
*Take the time to look through your coupons
*Save them until they expire, you never know when something will go on sale or get clearanced out!
